Elektra
Jennifer Garner reprises the role of fearless warrior Elektra -- a character she originated in Daredevil. Now that she's back in the fold of the mysterious Order of the Hand, the group's leader, Kirigi (Will Yun Lee), tasks her with liquidating seemingly harmless widower Mark Miller (Goran Visnjic) and his teenage daughter. But all bets are off when Elektra falls for Miller and must battle her former allies.

This is sort of a sequal to Daredevil. Jennifer Garner reprises her role as Elektra but wasn't she killed off in Daredevil? Or was she? The writers get you up to speed very quickly. The story is quite good and tha actors do a fine job. Terence Stamp is very good an her mentor/ Sensei. The effects are first rate and I will watch this one againThe key to enjoying this film - Myrrh
... is keeping your expectations relatively low. Having enjoyed the Alias television series we rented this mostly for the pleasure of seeing Jennifer Garner in another super-woman role. The film does deliver tasty action sequences and looks quite attractive (with its comic book bones showing in the framing and colours), however, it would be hard to say that the characters were developed in such a way that one was likely to really care about them or their problems. That pretty much always makes for a less satisfying movie-watching experience.Surprisingly Good! - DVDfan
What a pleasent surprise this movie was. Not knowing much about the character Elektra, I was expecting only a so-so movie. It ended being way better than I expected! Jennifer Garner plays the role of Elektra perfectly and was a the right choice for this franchise. For people that have no idea about this character, the movie does a great job giving you her background story, while blending it in with the current events. It doesn't bore you with a long, drawn out background like some other super hero movies like to do. It sums it up quite quickly, letting you get straight into the action. The martial arts portions of the film are well done, and it does not rely on a lot of CG special effects, which is a welcome change. If you like super hero movies, this is a very well done movie, and I recommend you do not pass it up.
