Pursued (2004)
The executive headhunter with a killer instinct.
When it comes to corporate headhunters, Vincent Palmer (Christian Slater, True Romance) is the high-tech industry's go-to guy. For a million-dollar retainer, he always gets his man, whether the prospect wants to change jobs or not. Vincent never takes no for an answer and will do whatever it takes - be it more money, additional perks or the cold-blooded murder of a family member - to make a deal. So when Viztrax executive Ben Keats (Gil Bellows) TV's "Ally McBeal") repeatedly turns down Vincent's offer to join a rival firm, the psychotic recruiter resorts to harassment, terrorism and violence to get him to change his mind. Only when Vincent promises to kill Keats' wife and young daughter, does Ben finally realize that when dealing with a man like Vincent Palmer, he really only has two choices: take the job or do a little headhunting himself.

I watched this title because I liked Christian Slater in the film "Broken Arrow" and the series "My Own Worst Enemy" and I wanted to see what else he did. In those movies he played the good guy but in this one he was the bad guy. He does a decent job of the role, but it just isn't that great a flick. Perhaps he is more the good guy than the bad one. Certainly, he is the star of the show, though. At best, it is a B movie, if you will. It was ok, just, not what I was hoping for in entertainment value. I cannot recommend it, hence the two stars. Not Bad - sue_z_q
In this story, Ben has a great job he is content to keep.. He has an excellent position and has no plansn change.. But Palmer ( played by Christian Slater ) has other ideas and big plans for him....So inturn they begin a game of cat and mouse which in the long run doesnt rule in favour of Palmer...It is a pretty good movie, definitely worth checking out...Better than nothing - Reza
2 stars may be even too much for this movie, very weak story, not only you can see some mistakes like changing of the SUV to GMC then back to Cadillac! but also you can notice a couple of weak points e.g. if the main character just called police, nothing would happen! or I think the second role (Vincent)was performed much better than the first one!
Basically, subject was not bad but the scenario could have been developed much better.
