Intern Academy
Intern Academy captures the follies of six interns who have varying degrees of interest in their education in St-Albert’s Hospital, where the dregs of MEd school are sent when every other hospital turns them down…

Some scene at this movie might make you smile and it's not a total drag if you have 2 hours to kill and nothing better to do. But generally, this movie just doesn't fly: the jokes are known, the plot is...Well, there's no plot worth metioning. The romantic couples are hardly romantic and does not create any intrest.
I might have enjoyed this one more 25 years ago (though I still enjoy a good teen comedie). It's a shame, because for a few momment here and there the movie does deliver the cheotic atmosphere of the interns life as it was so amzingly described in the legendary "House of God" book. So if you have 2 hours to kill and havn't read it yet...Delightful parody gives one the giggles... - Basil
A client and I decided to skip dinner and go watch a movie instead. This one was the one we picked and I knew it was going to be a bit of a parody, but how wrong was I? It was more than a bit...it was fully loaded with chuckles, giggles, and double entendres.
This movie fit in well with my sarcastic and quick wit and of course love of watching someone try hard not to look like a goofball, but sadly falling short (again, giving more giggles).
A good one to watch but don't take anything seriously, it's just to give you a giggle, not solve any real medical problems. As fun as an enema - Baboonvideo
It has been a long time since Dave Thomas was the head writer of SCTV and co-creator of the beloved comedy Strange Brew (1983) and time has not served him well. More than anything, the misguided and generally awful comedy Intern Academy is a depressing indication of how far Thomas has sunk (he wrote, directed and costars in this turkey). A shameless attempt to try to capitalize on the success of the American Pie films, Intern Academy comes across as the worst episode of Scrubs ever conceived, following a group of young medical residents (including Peter Oldring, Pat Kelly, Christine Chatelain and Jane McLean) through their training at the rundown and broke St. Albert's Hospital. The film plays like a series of sketches more than a coherent movie and when not being repulsive (interns pelt each other with stored body parts) or painfully predictable (guess what happens to the bookworm when she gets a few drinks in her), Intern Academy is busy belabouring its jokes and clearly missing any attempts at criticizing modern medicine, all of it freckled with a bunch of cameos from Canadian actors that will mean nothing to the film's target audience (including Maury Chaykin, Saul Rubinek, Matt Frewer and Dave Thomas).
