Pointless Feel-Bad Movie - KevinJaques
It tries to be a feel-good movie, inspired by the Mitch Albom book. It was a life after death fantasy, in which things we had never realized about our life, which make it make sense, are revealed to us. There was a lot of very depressing stuff revealed about the protagonists life, which he felt was wasted.
The end result was that I wasn’t really buying the fantasy solution, comforting as it might have been. I did buy the premise of the problem, there are things that we never even realize about our own life, that contribute to our sense of futility and frustration and shame.
So, it was a pointless feel–bad movie.MAKIN IT RIGHT by THE LOCKE BOX - TheLockeBox
This story staring Jon Voight as a maintenance man at a carnival with a low key life that was wasted, or at least he views it that way, dies and finds out different. He has to take care of unfinished business. It leaves the viewers wondering what Heaven may be really like and how our lives on earth are really intertwined. You can be left with deep questions you may want to seek answers for or just be happy with a superfical view of what you picture Heaven to be like. The writer wants the viewer to know that even the lowest bum on the street has a purpose in this world. This is not a religious show.Amazing Film - CelticRavenwolf
So very worth seeing. Rented on the advice of a friend, even though it's not really the type of movie I generally watch.
The message in this movie is simply beautiful. Eddie doesn't feel like he accomplished anything at all in his mediocre life, but he finds out that he has affected 5 different people in more ways than he even thought possible. The people he encounters aren't always the close family or friends that you would expect, but people who shine a completely different light on his life.
Well told, good pacing, fantastic ending, this is a film that I wouldn't hesistate to recommend to anyone.
