Goodbye wholesome Mr. T, hello raunchy comedy. While the film has a variety of crude humour, this film is a must see for fans of exploitation films and sex-comedies. This is definitely NOT Taxi Driver, but a crude, raunchy version of chauvinist characters of a cab company. While the film has its imperfections, that's what makes this film so enjoyable.Late night fun - Preacher
Featuring some of the 'big names' of the mid-80s including Mr T, Marsha Warfield, Gary Busey, Paul Rodriguez and the Barbarian Brothers, this is a great film to pop in if you can't sleep. It won't tax your thinking and the light story will give you a few laughs along the way.
Set as a foul-mouthed, two-fisted version of Taxi, DC Cab tells the tale of a very young Adam Baldwin who comes to Washington to drive a cab in a family friend's struggling business.
Baldwin is tutored by the other drivers and hilarity ensues.Kooky 80s Comedy.... - cathyottawa
...with crazy capers, and comedic characters.
The descriptor pretty much says it all here. This is one of those nutty 80s movies, in the spirit of Police Academy.
They could never remake this movie today, because there would never be a cab company like this today. The cars are falling apart. The film also has it's share of taboo, politically incorrect humour, that would have people crying foul today. And somehow, like in most of these 80s flicks, they found a way to include some nudity.
Still, I have to say, it makes me laugh. The characters are endearing. And look for Bill Maher, who has a small role in the film.
