The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch
Dirk. Nasty. Stig. Barry. Perhaps you've forgotten how unforgettable they are. Well, forget that. Intrepid host/interviewer Melvin Hall is here to refresh the recall of all Rutlemaniacs! Eric Idle (Monty Python) portrays Hall plus writes, produces, directs and, rumor has it, prepares off camera some well-received bangers and mash for the crew in a sequel to "The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash." From concerts to backstage moments, from successes (A Hard Day's Rut) to misunderstood flops (Tragical History Tour), from familiar tunes to those that make you wonder if you left the kettle on, the whole great, hilarious tale is here. With Special Appearances by David Bowie, Billy Connolly, Jimmy Fallon, Mick Jagger, Jewel, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Conan O'Brien, Bonnie Raitt, Robin Williams, and many more.

Recycled Rutles - Gaucho
What is with former Monty Python folks? In their old age, it seems they can't come up with an original idea. The whole tension of Python's humor was that you didn't see the jokes coming. And now, in their autum years, they just retell jokes. Case in point: Spamalot. And with this offering.
This is a sequal to the original which was brilliant. However, other than interviewing celebrities today (many that aren't all that funny), they just re-use old footage from the original movie or show new unused footage from the original. Either way, all of the best bits are from the original.
In other words, skip it.Skip it. Rent the original. - Milo_Bloom
A sad re-tread of the original, with new interviews with today's celebrities shot on low-quality video. No new footage of the Rutles themselves. The only new Rutle material is a short clip of their new-ish song, "Shangri-La". The original was much funnier. Not what I expected - XTRUClerk
A little disappointed with this one. I thought it would be a wholly new Rutles Mockumentary but it just looks like a rehash of the first Ruttles film, with a lot of the same jokes and much of the same songs and fake footage. If you really like Eric Idle, as I do, you might still want to have a look at this but otherwise try and find a copy of the original Rutles documentary, it's much better stuff. Cheers.
