Chain Of Fools
A little larceny. A lot of laughs!
Today is the first day of the rest of his life and, for inept barber Kresk, that's little encouragement. Then it happens. Kresk overhears information that - if he hires a hitman, hides the body and doesn't fall in love with the policewoman trying to arrest him - can make him rich today and forever.
Larceny and laughs combine when Steve Zahn plays hapless Kresk, Salma Hayek is the cop he'd like to go undercovers with, and a comical parade of characters are entangled in Kresk's scam to grab a fortune in rare coins. Among the characters: a con man who won't stay dead (Jeff Goldblum), a soft-hearted hitman (Elijah Wood), an overgrown Timberscout (David Cross), a billionaire (Tom Wilkinson), a cross-dressing nurse (Orlando Jones) and a terror of an ex-wife (Lara Flynn Boyle). It's an unbroken chain of hilarity!

Nice little comedy - XTRUClerk
I was a bit surprised by Chain of Fools. I'd never heard of it before, and usually when a film with this many stars gets released and no one talks about it it's because it's pretty bad. This movie however was pretty good. The story revolves mostly around Steve Zahn's character and three priceless coins. The interesting thing about the movie though is how everything (and everyone) in the film seems to be connected to something else in some way or another (hence the title). Reminded me of the Big Lebowski in that way. Actually, it reminded me of the Big Lebowski in a lot of ways. If Steve Zahn isn't yet enough reason for you to rent this one, then consider salma Hayek looking about as lovely as ever and Elijah Wood playing a hitman to hillarious effect as added incentive. Definately worth the rental. Cheers.
