It was good to see Dan Aykroyd, a well-known and respected actor and personality, come out in public and say that he believes in UFOs. He also talks about a couple of UFO-related incidents that affected him personally.
He is also fairly knowledgeable with the history of UFO sightings and government coverups. His interview is accompanyied by lots of video footage of many UFO sightings. There is some excellent and compelling video footage from NASA, Space Shuttle Flight astronauts, pilots as well as members of the public.
The content of the documentary is excellent, however, I have a couple of complaints with the way it was directed and edited. During many of the fascinating episodes of video footage of UFO incidents, the interviewer is talking to Aykroyd about a different encounter, which is very confusing. It's impossible to watch a video containing written information on the screen and at the same time listen to details of another encounter being told by the interviewer and Aykroyd. They should have focused on one incident at a time and shown video footage or photos of the same incident, not something unrelated.
There are also lots of weird camera angles and hand-held video cam shots of Akroyd during the interview. Why didn't they just get two or three video cameras, put them on fixed tripods, adjust the lighting properly, and just have a normal interview? Were the weird angles supposed to make things more interesting? I found it annoying and amateurish. The other problem is that many of the UFO shots were shown five or ten times during the show, which was a bit too much. They should have just frozen on a shot and held it for ten or twenty seconds.
Other than that, it was a great documentary. If you want to learn more about the government coverup of UFOs, read the excellent book: "Above Top Secret: The Worldwide UFO Coverup".Rent it - vivil
Although it was not overly informative (not that I was expecting something monumental) this was entertaining. I was also somewhat surprised that Aykroyd had taken such an interest in the UFO phenomena. My only real complaint was that the actual footage of ufo sightings were, in some cases, repeated multiple times, and sometimes accompanied by unnecessary close ups. Overall, worth the watch, even if it is purely for the entertainment value of the last shot of Aykroyd.
