Eddie Murphy: Delirious
Comedian Eddie Murphy brings his proudly raunchy comedy act to a sold-out stadium and pontificates in his own vulgarly hilarious fashion on such subjects as sexual orientation, puberty, dating, disciplinarian mothers, ice cream trucks, and the personality traits of certain singers

Eddie Murphy is crude and at the same time very funny.
The classics - shoe throwing mother, ICE CREAM, the fart game are all just as funny as I remembered.
I will say that it had a lot more sexual humour in there than I remember, so don't show it to young children.
Having said that, it reminded me why this film was being quoted so often back when I was in high school.

I really enjoyed this DVD. I had never seen this until last week; I have to admit that it took me a while to get into it because I found the opening jokes (calling gay people "fa**ots") to be kind of dated, and not my type of humor. However, once Eddie started telling stories from his childhood, especially the one about the cook-out and his aunt falling down the stairs, I was crying from laughter. For the childhood stories alone, I would recommend this DVD to others who want a good laugh.Landmark Comedy DVD A Bit Dated - TheShamus
For me, comedy before or after Eddie Murphy's Delerious has never been as funny. Murphy seemed like a new type of comic ... young, multi-talented, funny, likeable with extreme profanity.
The profanity was woven into the jokes --- and much of the material would not have the impact without the swearing. Sure, Richard Prior and George Carlin were "shocking" their audience with profanity before Murphy --- but with Murphy ... the swearing was part of the joke.
Overnight, Murphy because a huge success ... and it was controversial with people, and especially with older comedians who did not think you needed to use that kind of language.
With today's sensibilities ... it does not pack the "punch" that it once did. Yet, we have to recognize this DVD for what it accomplished for Murphy's career.
When I was 15 years-old watching this for the first time ... we watched this DVD (tape at that time) 6 or 7 times ... and we would still rewind and play the tape. The whole group of us were Delerious, and I have not laughed like that since.
