Millions
Starting anew after the death of their mother, 9-year-old Anthony is ever practical, while his 7-year-old brother Damian uses imagination, fantasy, and faith to make sense of his confusing world. When a suitcase full of money falls out of the sky at Damian's feet, it sets the boys on the adventure of a lifetime that leads them to realize that true wealth has nothing to do with money.

Lots of funny moments, serious moments, as well as a looming threat and a sinister undertone that soon becomes evident, make this film such a great film for the whole family.
Millions is the story about the UK switching to the Euro. Damien is a kid who likes saints amongst other things; when he moves house after his mums death. *Spoiler Alert* He builds a cardboard box house by the trains, only for it to be crushed by a bag. A bag full of money that was going to be burnt. What then ensues is a very funny, entertaining and nice story about what he and his brother then decide to do with the money.little boys - gertie
Who knows what goes on in the heads of little boys. Usually nobody ever asks them! These 2 dealt with the death of their mother & the changes that event brought to their lifes & the liife of their Dad. When the money falls from the sky they approach the event in completely different ways but quite appropriate to their ages with the younger still in the dreamy state of the very young while the older boy has started to learn about the realities of the world, there's no free lunch!Whimsical - Filmgal
Millions is a very different movie for director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Shallow Grave, 28 Days Later) but it shows that he can handle a variety of film genres.
The film follows two boys- Damien and Anthony- whose mother has recently passed away. Damien resides in a sort of fantasy world hwere he communes with saints to help him make his decisions and guide him. When a bag of British pounds falls out of the sky a few days before the conversion to the Euro, the boys decide to spend the money and give it away before it becomes worthless.
The film has many elements of fantasy in it that can be likened to the film Amelie. The different editing and fantasy techniques are ditracting at first but they fit in with the narrative and the perspective of Damien's character.
The film is mostly light-hearted and does send a good message in terms of greed and charity. It's a nice little movie that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
