Star Trek: First Contact
They call themselves the Borg-a half-organic, half-machine collective, with a soul purpose: to conquer and assimilate all races. Led by their seductive and sadistic queen (Alice Krige), the Borg are headed to Earth with a devious plan to alter history. Picard's last encounter with the Borg almost killed him. Now, he wants vengeance. But how far will he go to get it? Co-Staring Alfre Woodard and James Cromwell and bursting with spectacular special effects, Star Trek First Contact is on action film that "has it all"

Good fun for Trekkies! - BritaBroad
Although I tend to prefer the movies employing the original cast (Shatner et al) this was an engrossing movie using the more sombre Next Generations crew. Involving time travel, the Borg (always good fun - one character recons they "sound Swedish" - could she be more wrong?) and two realted plot line, both with the inevitable time constraints on the crew 1.) repairing the damaged first warp ship ever and 2.) getting the Borg off the Enterprise. Keeps you on the edge of your seat to the end.
Great stuff!!The next generation in action - Coconut_Willy
While watching this movie, I realized that I had never seen it in its entirety. It goes to show that maybe, when you get to the 8th installment of a series, the interest may have faded a bit... Anyway, it's a pretty good episode. The storyline is OK as a concept but some of the sub-plots are very good and well developed. Personally, I am not a big fan of time travel stories; many have been made before and they often tend to be repetitive with the potential impacts of changing the future or other semi-scientific consequences. It is also often a license to put together a story that makes little sense, a bit like ending a movie by saying 'but it was only a dream'. In this case, there is a bit of that but it does not insist too much on it. The cast is very good doing a fine acting job with a well written dialogue. The sets and locations are quite good, the soundtrack is pleasant and the camera work is very good. The special effects and the action scenes here are also very good. As a bonus, one gets all the makeup effects that come with the presence of the Borg. Highly recommended. Maybe it is true that the even numbers are better than the odd ones...warp 9 - Bryguy
This movie was once again a true Star Tek movie, new things were always happenning, Patrick Stewart fits the roll of Capt Picard very well, Brent Spiner as well followed through with exceptional dedication. First Contact was a superb movie, with full of action . It as well kept to the story line that Genearation's had created.
