A Bullet For Sandoval
A gritty story of seething hatred and thrilling adventure.
John Warner (George Hilton) is a rebel soldier who deserts his outfit on the eve of battle and goes over the border into Mexico to be with his girlfriend when she gives birth to their child. When he arrives Warner finds that his fiancée has died in childbirth and her father lust only to kill him. Raw, savage Western fare in the tradition of A Fistful Of Dollars, co-directed by Lucio Fulci, one of the masters of blood-soaked Italian horror/fantasies and sexy thrillers.

If you are like me, and the first time you seen Leone's films you had to venture off and see every speghetti western ever made, and each time you find one that is remotely good, you feel like you won the lotto, then this one is special. The first thing I noticed was great camera work and score from the opening shot that gave me hope for the rest of it. I was not let down. This is completely story driven, sometimes there is not much character development in old speghetti's and too much gunplay, but there are certain scenes that really emphasize character and add layers to the plot. This is all well and good, but I imagine most people want to know if you get lost in this macho-brutal-Italian/Spanish/American-west, and you sure can. I give it alot of cedit because it has been a while since I seen a good speghetti, still, it's worth a shot.
