I saw No Country For Old Men this year. It was totally unpredictable, received accolades on top of accolades, but I didn't like it. It depressed me. If I wanted to spend $12 and be depressed, I'd buy a bottle of fortified wine, drink myself into a stupor, and spend the night in a ditch. Russkies is anything but depressing, and seriously, is there anything more fun than surburban Florida in the 80s?Formulaic, but good - nelsonlonigan
A kid's movie from the 80s that protests the Cold War and the way boys are brought to believe that war is cool and fun. The movie's pretty formulaic, and everything gets wrapped up in a neat little package, but that's a good thing sometimes. I saw No Country For Old Men this year.
