The Bravados
A powerful western tale of revenge and redemption
Jim Douglas (Gregory Peck) rides into town the night before the hanging of four outlaws. He's been on their trail, believing they raped and killed his wife. But hours before the execution, the four escape, taking a beautiful young woman hostage. Now it's a murderous race to the Mexican border. Taking charge of the posse, Douglas tracks down the criminals one by one - until the stunning, powerful conclusion reveals a terrible secret that leaves Douglas more desperate for salvation than revenge!

Wrong dvd info! - CroakerBC
One of the greatest westerns ever made with an interesting twist on the familiar theme of revenge.
The info listed for this dvd is out of date.
The dvd I received is brand new, with 2 sides. Side A: fullscreen. Side B: widescreen.
It comes with English, Spanish and French subtitles. Also has english closed captions. Great quality.Straight to the Border - LOBBY
This Western is very Linear. The path of the good guys and the bad guys is extremely predictable and so is the storyline and the acting. It is hard to say if there was anything missing - all elements of a western are present. However, the Dialogue is weak and comes off making almost everyone look very simple. I gave it 3 stars and struggled doing so but the conclusion was well done and I used that as redemption.
