Texas
Adventure, Love, and Betrayal on the way to Texas
In this rip-roaring blend of action, thrills and humor, William Holden (The Man From Colorado) and Glenn Ford (The Desperadoes, The Violent Men) star as Dan Thomas and Tod Ramsey, two saddle bums whose dream of making their fortune in the Lone Star state has gone seriously awry. So when the rough-and-tumble drifters witness a stagecoach holdup, they decide to rob the robbers and go their separate ways. By the time they meet again, however, the two friends discover that they’re not only in love with the same woman (Claire Trevor, The Stranger Wore A Gun), but on opposite sides of the law as well. Filled with bare-knuckle brawls, necktie parties, cattle drives and shoot-‘em-ups, TEXAS is a "fast moving and quite entertaining" (The Motion Picture Guide) epic Western adventure.

Classic Western With Great Cast - bwod
This 1941 western rises above the standard fare usually presented in the genre. William Holden and Glenn Ford were very young here but they would both become big stars within a few years.
Edgar Buchanan as the town dentist is both funny and cunningly shrewd. Claire Trevor adds some romantic interest.
There are plenty of fights, horses, gun-play. and beeves. If you like a good western, injected with some humour, then check out "Texas". Directed by George Marshall. this one is a real gem. This one gets two thumbs up - for the originality.
