Fleeing the scene, Lane then crashes into the lives of a novelist and his teenage daughter. First, she befriends the girl, and then seduces her father.

Angela begins a macabre game of manipulation by helping Christina to recover, whole willfully exposing Lane's guilt. Just when an uneasy reconciliation seems imminent, an irrevocable act of vengeance shatters the lives of these four people forever.
