Intruder
It's 10 PM. The night before Walnut Lake's neighborhood supermarket closes its doors forever. The owners and night crew have a long shift ahead of them...longer than they think! Ace check-out girl, Jennifer (played by "Lethal Weapon's" Renee Estevez), has a deranged ex-boyfriend who's fresh out of prison. When he appears outside, weird things start happening. The phone lines are cut, and the night crew starts dying...one by one, in the most gruesome ways imaginable. An ex-cop is trying to find out who the killer is and what possessed him to start the bloody rampage. But is it the ex-boyfriend or someone else?

Intruder = low budget flick - djray
I zipped this as it involved Scott Spiegel, the good friend and often collaborative writer of Sam Raimi. The DVD cover advertises Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell (of Evil Dead fame). I enjoyed the first bit of the direction but then it became a traditional slasher flick with lack of story advancement and character development.
In my opinion, it did not show much new things than a typical horror slasher that would come out at the time. Therefore, if you are looking for a great slasher flick, I would not recommend this film.
There are no special features although there are some trailers for low budget horror films which I found somewhat amusing and entertaining. If you are a fan of Sam Raimi, I probably would not check this film out unless you are willing to just accept a low budget B-horror movie for what it is.Not a good movie, but good in its badness - eoguy
Nasty piece of slasher fun, if such a thing is possible, slightly elevated by the inclusion of the Raimi brothers Sam and Ted ( I didn't know which was which, but they account for 2 of the victims) and the briefest of cameos by Bruce Campbell in the final fadeout as an arresting cop. Late 80's supermarket on the edge of some freeway city somewhere in California is closing for the night and soon to go out of business, and one of the cashiers (soon enough we'll see she's a prototypical Final Girl, albeit far too blonde and glamorous - classic Final Girls in the 80s often have the touch of the dog in them somewhere) has a crazy stalker boyfriend on the loose. After an appallingly badly staged fight sequence, the ex is thrown out, and soon enough her co-workers are being slaughtered in a variety of clever, supermarket-ready ways. Some interesting (and some ludicrous) camera angles (the worst - looking up from the phone dial), some good suspense, and the usual unfair sudden jumps; the script packs all the major killings (7) one right after the other from the 27 minute mark to the 57 minute mark. Some good squeamish gore effects, too (particularly unsettling - meat saw, trash compactor), and the usual blend of heartlessness and glee, but our dullish Final Girl is both competent and uninteresting: the show's two actresses (both cashiers) should have switched roles.
An unusually bad conclusion leaves it all strangely open-ended, perhaps paving the way for the never-shot sequel; worst, the over-the-top killer is moronically all wrong (and easy to figure out from the get-go).
The title and the cover art seem to have little to do with the story itself, suggesting an indie that was dumped on a distributor, though I may be mistaken.I'm Just Crazy About This Store! - Al_Stech
An eighties slasher film written by Lawrence Bender (producer of Tarantino's films), that has both Sam and Ted Raimi in it, with special effects by Greg Nicotero (who's done all sorts of great SFX work over the years). Oh yeah, and a cameo by Bruce Campbell too. It's incredibly cheesy and gory, but it has a fun factor to it that many horror films today lack.
My suggestion when watching this film -- play a drinking game where you take a drink any time the director uses a "clever" camera shot. There are so many of them here (and they're often really bad) that you'll be really drunk before the movie is even half finished. I was bursting out laughing at all of the shots by the end.
I know that there are plenty of Bruce Campbell fans out there too ... a word of warning here is that the box for this DVD has his name as a top bill in the credits. He's actually in this movie for maybe 30 seconds, and is barely recognizable. That's some deceptive advertising there if you ask me.
