The Wool Cap
An edgy yet poignant drama that tells the story of Gigot, a mute building superintendent who is tortured by his past but finds new life when he befriends Lou, a bright young girl who is abandoned by her mother. Their troubled lives collide when each of them is tested to overcome their demons.

Very enjoyable comedy/drama - AlessasRevenge
Although primarily marketed as a drama, and accurately so, this is also a comedy. Gigot (William H. Macy) and Lou (Keke Palmer) both have some serious issues to deal with in this film which makes for a fairly intense, if not subtle, drama. But the movie is also laced with some light and humorous moments throughout, although somewhat low-key as well.
Both William and Keke are outstanding in their performances.
I would recommend this movie to everyone. Most of it should be okay for childrenBetter than expected - Gayl
I enjoyed this endearing movie a lot! William H. Macy is one of my favorite actors and he doesn't disappoint one bit in this brilliant portrayal of a man who can no longer talk as the result of an accident. His accidental relationship with a girl who is left with him releases long covered up feelings in him and you are drawn into the pain of his life. Redemption is sweet as he moves beyond his own pain and pride in order to make a difference in someone's life. And his life becomes different too. A beautifully re-done movie that works.
