Casino
10th Anniversary Edition
Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci star in director Martin Scorsese's riveting look at how blind ambition, white-hot passion and 24-karat greed toppled an empire. Las Vegas, 1973, is the setting for this fact-based story about the Mob's multi-million dollar casino operation- where fortunes and lives were made and lost with the roll of the dice.

A Top Notch Film - TheDandyist
This motion picture is, in my opinion, actually a trilogy. The first part deals with the seedy underworld of Las Vegas, of gambling and its aftermath, its dark corners and tricks of its trade. Almost like a documentary. Then it becomes a domestic drama about a couple trying to deal with two totally opposing and dangerous lifestyles. He (the DeNiro character) is a man who's trying to run a casino but has vast mafia ties which threatens his credibility as a legit businessman; his wife (Sharon Stone) wants to remain devoted, enjoying some domestic bliss and a materialistic lifestyle, but is firmly rooted in an ill-fated love-affair with a money-guzzling pimp (James Woods). All of this is complicated by the third portion of this film involving a gangster friend (Joe Pesci) who is not only brutal and murderous, but is giving the local mob a bad name with his mindless crime rampage. This film is not for the fainthearted--but gangster films should not be. One of the many lessons I learned from this is ... Never cheat on blackjack at a mafia-run casino!Classic - Matthewgray
A complex, multilayered, beautifully directed film, Martin Scorsese's Casino is a masterpiece of destruction and betrayal. Few films take so many chances and succeed so wonderfully. It takes some of the basic formulas that were found in Goodfellas and applies them to another type of story - while Goodfellas' view was ground-level, telling the story of the "blue collar" gangsters of NYC, this film tells the story of the guys who controlled those guys. And it's fascinating to watch these people run Las Vegas, control the flow of money, and then fall from the heights of power due to lust, hubris, and greed. An amazing film that will hopefully get the recognition it deserves in the years to comeVery good film - Derek4
The combination of Scorsese, DeNiro, and Pesci is always a winner and Casino is definitely no exception. With a powerful and interesting story, great cinematography, and the brilliant acting you truly are taken into the world of the Mob in Vegas.
A great addition on this DVD is all the extra features which include 2 very interesting documentaries on the real characters that this film is based upon.
One of the most pleasant suprises for me when I first saw this was how incredible Sharon Stone was. She totally pulls off a difficult role and delivers one of the best performances in the film.
