Moving / Greased Lightning (Double Feature)
Outta the way: Richard Pryor is on the move!
Moving (89 mins)
Comedy and screen legend Richard Pryor hits the comedy road in Moving, a good-time tale of a flustered suburbanite trying to relocate with his family from New Jersey to Idaho. Dave Thomas, Dana Carvey and Randy Quaid are among the comic ensemble in this movie that packs "a houseful of laughs" (V.A. Musetto, New York Post).
Greased Lightning (94 mins)
Next, Pryor has a driving ambition in Greased Lightning, the decades-spanning true story of Wendell Scott, who cracked the all-white world of stock-car racing, built cars from junkyard parts, endured taunts, overcame setbacks and won NASCAR and Grand National crowns. "There's not a more likable movie currently on view," Time reviewer Richard Schickel wrote about this biopic that marks Pryor's first lead film role.

A Strong Depiction of Richard Pryor - Duber
An excellent film representing Richard Pryor's comedic acting ability. Lots of good laughs and a strong cast from the 80's (Dana Carvey, Dave Thomas, Randy Quaid). I hadn't seen this movie in 20 years and it held up beautifully. Like John Candy, Richard Pryor will be an actor who's strongly missed.Greased Lightning - scrammy
A great bio movie if you enjoy stock car history about the life of Wendell Scott - how he came to love racing and what it meant to follow his dreams. Richard Pryor shows that he was more than a stand-up comic in his first lead role. A great family movie.MOVING - Shoeprint
This Pryor masterpiece is hilarious. Under rated by every critic. Dana Carvey is in the movie as well, how can it not contain humour. Pryor is relocating his family and trying to make things as easy for everyone as possible. Although nothing goes the way it is supposed to in the end they still have their family.
