Turk 182
Mystery Rebel Has Millions Cheering!
Brooklyn artist Jimmy Lynch (Oscar-winner Timothy Hutton) idolizes his older brother Terry (Robert Urich), a New York City fireman who's severely injured during a brave off-duty rescue. But when the arrogant Mayor Tyler (Robert Culp of The Greatest American Hero) publicly denies Terry his pension, Jimmy begins blitzing Manhattan with a series of bold graffiti attacks signed with his brother's nickname and badge number. Now with the help of a beautiful social worker Kim Cattrall of Sex and the City) and hunted by the Mayor's security chief (Peter Boyle of Everybody Loves Raymond), Jimmy plots the ultimate stunt: as the entire city watches, he'll attempt to take one of New York's biggest landmarks as the rebel hero known only as Turk 182!

A Sunday Afternoon Watch - eoguy
I loved this movie when I was a kid. Timothy Hutton's character was a rebel with a spray can, aviator sunglasses, and a beret. What more could a kid ask for in the 80s? Now that I have watched it 20 years after its release date, some of the techniques used in the film appear extremely dated. For example, the poorly executed operation montage scene. A lot of the writing is not believable, such as the strong female character unceremoniously flinging off her clothes for the too-young-for-her Timothy Hutton when she discovers his secret, that he is a rebel. Still, it is a film with heart, portraying the classic struggle of the common man against cold and corrupt government officials. I would consider it a good Sunday afternoon watch.
