This is a film told in the ironic genre mastered by John Waters. Unfortunately, Straight Jacket’s irony is too smug, played in broad strokes instead of surprising us at odd moments. The film does a nice job of capturing the colour and lighting qualities of ‘50’s movies, but it’s really not enough to save this beast.Campy and Fun - Jaxom79
I loved this flick. Not only was I laughing my head off and getting an ab workout in the process, it was also pretty well done. The style of filming was nice and the sets were full of films era style and colours. But all in all, it's a good movie to sit back and watch with a good bud.
