How a legend was born.
Jiminy Glick (Martin Short), a self-absorbed entertainment critic for a television station in Butte, Montana makes his first trip to the Toronto International Film Festival. His dreams of becoming the most celebrated and renowned star interviewer are realized when he is granted an exclusive with elusive young megastar Ben DiCarlo (Corey Pearson). This catapults Jiminy from obscurity to being the most talked about guy in town. But fame embroils Jiminy in a murder mystery whodunit when the body of fading Hollywood star Miranda Coolidge (Elizabeth Perkins) is found in his bed.

Not enough shtick in Jiminy Glick - volt
If you're not a fan of (or you're not familiar with) Jiminy Glick there's no reason to rent this film. If you are a fan of the half hour tv show, there's no reason to rent this film. Okay, I had a few yuks, and I always like to see real celebrities engage with Jiminy, but this film is a perfect example of a format that works (the half hour tv show) being forced into a format that doesn't. Watch Jiminy on the tube instead.Terrible Movie!! - Big_Daddy_G
I am a big fan of Martin Short and love his Jiminy Glick character. So is my wife. We both thought this was the worst movie we'd seen in sometime. Huge disappointment. Only funny parts were a few snippets of (great) Glick interviews. Despite the bad reviews it got at the theatre, we thought we'd give it a try. Big mistake!Glick has left the room - bukester
This film shouldn't have been made. I was a Martin Short fan before viewing this film but I'm not sure anymore. He tries to stretch the below average characterization of Glick into a full feature and it just does not work. The material is thin, the Glick Character just is not funny, let's face it. It doesn't matter how many celebrity cameos you try to cram in, it does not improve the story and it only goes to prove that Marty Short is a likeable guy but he should put Jiminy Glick to bed forever.
