The Longest Yard
If You Can't Get Out, Get Even.
Pro quarterback Paul Crew (Adam Sandler) and former college champion and coach Nate Scarboro (Burt Reynolds) are doing time in the same prison. Asked to put together a team of inmates to take on the guards, Crewe enlists the help of Scarboro to coach the inmates to victory in a football game "fixed" to turn out quite another way.

Excellent Remake - whp123
The original being made in the 1970s had more social commentaries and was a little more serious. But this remake is more funny.
The chemistry between the lead actors especially Chris Rock and Adam Sandler was just hilarious. Burt Reynolds as the coacj was just a great piece of casting.
Best remake of a 1970s film and probably the best Adam Sandler movie which I have seen so far.Great movie - Vickie
This is a fantastic remake - even as good as the original. The good thing about this movie is that it is not trying to be the exact same as the original. They added some plot twists to make it more interesting. The acting was great and the chemistry between everyone really worked for them. As football players, they took their roles very seriously and it really showed on film. Definitely worth seeing.A remake that works - Reel_Fan
Pleasantly surprised by this remake. I enjoyed the original, and this is a funny remake with some new touches to keep it fresh. Reynold's comes back to step in as a coach here and does a good job wiht it. Sandler is quite good, delivering good lines and not taking it foo far like a Happy Gilmour. Many funny lines and moments, and some good football action to boot. Check it out.
