The Adventurers
The wealthy playboy son of an assassinated South American diplomat discovers that his father was really murdered on orders of the corrupt president of the country--a man who was his father's friend and who, in fact, his father had helped put into power. He returns from living a jet-set life in Europe to lead a revolution against the government, only to find out that things aren't quite as black and white as he had assumed.

Moderately Exciting Adventure - MovieLover5
I had some memories of this movie from when it was first released. Suffice to say it seemed much more interesting 37 years ago; now it just comes across as fairly lame. There are a few exciting action scenes, but they are few and far between. If you have read any Harold Robbins novels, I suspect this film is a fairly close interpretation and pretty typical of the late 60's/early 70's "epic novel".
As an aside, it is rather neat to see a very young Candice Bergen as one of the love interests of the lead. By the way, the Zip synopsis provided will make you wonder if the reviewer actually watched the movie. Much of what he states is simply inaccurate, not that it will change your viewing boredom.
