Lady in White
On Halloween, 1962, ten year old Frankie Scarletti's classmates lock him in the coffin-like confines of his fourth grade cloakroom where he is forced to spend the night unbeknownst to anyone....alive. When the darkness comes, Frankie is horrified to discover the ghost of a little girl murdered in the very same room ten years earlier. How he comes to solve the mystery of who killed her and bring her to final peace, makes for a terrifying and heartwarming journey into the realm of human experience.

It's like Halloween's version of a Christmas Story - TheKeywork
Like the other reviewers state, this is a hard movie to classify. It's a family film of it's era much like A Christmas Story or Labyrinth. It has moments that a purley fun and full of whimsy, then you have some pretty dark moments including a face off with the killer.
I wouldn't call this movie scary by any means. So if that's what you're looking for, you'll be disappointed. It's just the tale of a family that carries a similar tone to "A Christmas Story". The only thing working against it, is the run time. Cut 30 minutes out of the flick and the pace would have been a little better.
I wouldn't hesitate to call this a hidden gem.something special - movie_goer
Original, splendid and creative!
Lady in white is something i've never seen before in fact I'm not sure i'd consider this a family film, it's hard to describe. What's even more puzzling is i never paiged Luke Haas as an actor- who knew? For those searching for something that's not Disney sugar coated or too scary you loose sleep this is the perfect alternative it's a bit of everything.inventive - GP1-
a few problems with the DVD itself on a technical level: some annoying glitching begins to occur past the 1 hour mark. However, it begins to play smoothly again after a few seconds. This was especially annoying as I was COMPLETELY enthralled with the film. The mystery storyline itself is kind of on the predictable side, but this can be forgiven as the cinematic qualities of the film are exceptional. Very visually inventive and one sequence in particular (when Frankie is being strangled) totally blew me away. The limitations of '80s FX are apparent in parts, but once again this can be forgiven as the intent was admirable. And the musical score is very apt, especially in this sequence.
Very interesting extra features as well, fortunately included on the movie's disc rather than being broken up into two as is often the (annoying) case...
