Abuse of power - swissguy
A strong movie about abuse of power. Set in a private boy's school where upper classmen boss and humiliate lower classmen and retaliate if anyone dares to displease them. Lots of violence but some good points of morality as well. The acting is very good and the cinematography is good. The movie provides a satisfying ending tying everything up neatly at the end.A true hidden gem! - eoguy
Great cinematography, and music. The movie depicts the growth of a mindlessly violent, rebellious boy, a product of the abuse of his step-father, to a more mature, positive and spirited man.
Presented in a post second world war european climate with ghost of nazi past still lingering in people's phyche, the movie depicts sometimes the violence can be the only means to achive peace. Do not miss it.Great movie, even though the story is not that original - slavi
The story of this movie is quite trivial and evolves around the bullying at a private upscale school. Nothing new or we haven't seen in dozen of movies, including in Hollywood. There are no surprising twists in the plot and the story progresses as you expect it would. However the movie is very well made with some outstanding acting and good cinematography. The characters are powerful and the whole movie is very enjoyable and entertaining. Not recommended though for people that cannot tolerate violence or bloody scenes, but otherwise perfect for Sunday afternoon.
