Stealth - oldmovies

If you are into planes and speed, than this is the right movie for you. From the beginning to the end, there are planes going at Mach speeds. This movie is no Top Gun, although I believe that it may be comparable to some degree. The only difference between this movie and Top Gun is that Stealth relied too much on Special effects; where as Top Gun is the real thing. The Characters were funny and seemed real; the plot has its moments but lack originality. Overall the movie was enjoyable and entertaining to watch and at some point it kept you on the edge of your seat

It's just as dumb as Top Gun was but one HELL of a lot better done; the actors are pretty, the story lame and predictable but damn is the action great. It's completely unrealistic in so many ways and has so many reality errors that were completely unnecessary, I actually found myself annoyed at the writer(s) because a) audiences for decades have been much more sophisiticated and knowledgeable so things should be written properly to cater to them, and b) reality can be just as interesting if the effort to work with it were made- but then movie writers hardly make much effort these days so I suppose that's a bit unrealistic too. Expect fluff and you might like Stealth- hope for anything more and you'll probably be disappointed...

Stealth... the hybrid offspring if you crossed "Top Gun" and "Flight of the Navigator". Both entertaining in their own right, but this is a disjointed mess of a film. You neither care nor are entertained. The filming can be "too" fast or slow, the characters are too one dimensional, and the storyline too "US". This film is purely based on the US being the mighty police of the world, and I for one only had empathy for the North Koreans at the end, as they were cast as villains, but were onyl defending their rights as a country.

Getting back to the film it tries to be clever on too many levels (see the occasional expletives, "jokes" etc...), it succeeds at none. Not great, not good, barely average.
