Was not a bad film. Plot twists consisted of chasing vampires, staking them, running from bad guys, narrow escapes, night time battles, blood thirsty vampires and dimly-lit forests. Very scary in some parts and a good addition to a very very (very) crowded genre.
The only thing it missed was a teenaged girl falling in love with a male vampire. I bet that would sell well.Fallen - J.
Wes Craven certainly has fallen from grace with this laughable tale of Dracula. Such a great film was that of Dracula 2000 with its premise and characters. Of course the curse of the sequels takes hold and destroys the work of the first film. Dracula III was laughable it's sad to see actors who have had previous success with other endeavors and now are in need of work and take whatever is tossed their way. Jason Scott Lee did a terrible job with his charcater, not all his fault mind you the sceenplay was a nightmare to begin with, not really allowing us to engage ourselves with the characters. Everyone gave a two dimensional performance either the Director was failling the actors or the actors were failling the script but most probably it was the script that failed everyone. Not worth the use of a rentalEverything is there except the direction. - GenuineMovieCritic
The story has potential, the make up is okay, the sets look too clean and plastic, though they could easily be made better. The actors could probably act better if they were directed better.
The whole thing doesn't come alive, or together. Each part remains a part, separate and inanimate. you need to see a movie like this one to understand why the good movies are good.
Sorry for the director, but don't waste your time on this one, it's a flop.
