The Dukes of Hazzard
Unrated Version
Set in present day, the story follows the adventures of "good old boy" cousins, Bo (Seann William Scott) and Luke (Johnny Knoxville) Duke, who with the help of their eye-catching cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson) and moonshine running Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson), try and save the family farm from being destroyed by Hazzard County's corrupt commissioner Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds). Their efforts constantly find the "Duke Boys" eluding authorities in "The General Lee," their famed 1969 orange Dodge Charger that keeps them one step ahead of the dimwitted antics of the small southern town's Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (M.C. Gainey).

I don't think this movie could be any worse, it wasn't funny or entertaining. This is a movie that never should have been made. I only watched the show 20 years ago because of Daisy and only watched the film for the same reason. The show was terrible, but I think the film might be worse. Some fun drivin' - DeRat
Did you like the T.V. show? If yes, you’ll probably like this campy rendition. Do you like Jessica Simpson? Well there is a bikini scene. But if you thought the T.V. show was dumb and pointless and hate having to over look things like “How do they not end up in prison for life?” you might want to skip this. The other gripe that may just be mine is Boss hog, in the show he was a fat man with a cigar and white suit, he came across as something a lot different than Reynolds – Reynolds comes across like a used car salesman, just too slimy and I found I disliked him more than I think we are supposed to, sometime I felt sorry for boss hog on the TV show, he just couldn’t beat those boys and was surrounded by idiots… not so here, I wanted him to get every lump he got…
I do want to mention the stunt driving though as it is note worthy, If you love Cars and pushing cars to their limits with insane driving moves this is a must see… the guy that does the drifting in this movie is insanely good… my mouth was literally hanging open in some parts… and a 69 Dodge Charger is not exactly an easy car to handle… so the stunt driving brought this one up a full point for me (they also show crash outakes in the credits - good times... the 69 Dodge Charger became an even rarer vehicle after this film, man they wrecked a ton of them...I turned it off!! - poothedrew
I think there are maybe a couple movies I can honestly say I stopped watching it.
Either the best parts of this movie are got cut or the Jay Chandrasekhar did not get the performances he needed from the cast and it does not end there...
Pacing delivery, and dialogue where all either forced or out of place. Willie Nelson's was like my Mom trying to tell a joke and she is just not funny. The homage to Supertroopers was cute but other than that a complete waste of time. I loved Supertroopers and skipping this and heading directly towards Beerfest would be my recommendation.
This will NOT be part of my collection ever.
I would give it less than 1 star if not for Jessica being hot and it actually made me laugh ...once.
