Four Brothers
They came home to bury mom... and her killer.
After their adoptive mother is murdered during a grocery store holdup, the Mercer brothers -- hotheaded Bobby (Mark Wahlberg), ladies' man Angel (Tyrese Gibson), family man and businessman Jeremiah (Andre Benjamin), and hard rocking Jack (Garrett Hedlund) -- reunite to take the matter of her death into their own hands.
As they track down her killer, they quickly realize that their old ways of doing business have new consequences, and discover that they are bound by ties thicker than blood.

Four adopted foster brothers go back for the funeral of their murdered "Mother" and end up trying to track down the culprits. This was actually a lot of fun, even though much of it was kind of ridiculous and made no sense; like how they have massive shootouts and car chases in the middle of Detroit and nobody is around to witness it and of course no cops show up, but whatever, just had to suspend my disbelief. Wahlberg was perfect and really these are the kinds of roles for him, tough, violent, and not too much emoting. There were a few cheesy pseudo-flashback parts too, but yeah, overall pretty fun action/revenge flick.Great movie - Tytee
This movie was excellent! Sure, there was a little bit of cheese, but that's what I go to the movies for, a little bit of escape and some great story-telling. The plot was very interesting and a little twisty, the acting was great (believeable, even), the cinematography and direction were excellent, and the soundtrack was awesome. I highly recommend taking a break from your life for a few hours and enjoying some engrossing action and drama. It was even a little heartwarming at points, and bring a tissue, ladies. Five stars for a great movie!Good as "they" get. - sixerfan
Decent action/thriller flick, plenty of violence, good R rated type film. Unfortunately the casting director should have considered other options for the lead roles, but as far as the plot is concerned; good film. At some point and time you buy into the constantly evolving plot line, and quite frankly, by the end of the movie the viewer is left in a fair state of suspense.
