The 40-Year-Old Virgin
Includes 17 Never-Before-Seen Minutes!
Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell) has gone 40 years without "doing it." Now his pals are making it their mission to help him score... fast! Can he survive their hilariously bad advice? Will he land in the arms of the way-too-experienced or the way-too-drunk? Or can he find true love where he least expects - from a gorgeous grandmother (Catherine Keener)? With additional footage too bold for theaters, The 40-Year-Old Virgin now packs even more outrageous comedy!

I didn't hate this movie, but I have to admit I never watched the whole thing. The language was a real turn off for me. The swearing was just over done. I am fine with bad language if it fits the characters. I just didn't think it did in this case. I really love words, and intelligent meaningful dialogue. So I turned it off rather than waste my time listening to it, and if there was a story, it wasn't well told. If on the other hand you like a lot of the same word over and over and over again...this is the movie for you!!Sweet Sex Comedy - ABC99
What makes this film work so well isn't just how funny it is but that it also loves his characters. While this is a raunchy R rated film the performers are all so likeable, especially Carrell who is perfect in his role.
Although it is a long Comedy it is funny throughout and the cast is perfect. One of the funniest movies this year - DeRat
Know how I know you’re gay? Cause you have not zipped this movie yet. :) I laughed, I cried and I groaned ... well I cried from laughing - I think what I liked most about this movie was even though the content or premise was on the side of ridiculous it had a realness to it that was hard to describe. Steve Carell makes us believe in his character and makes us care about him and what happens to this poor hapless hero... its actually believable that a guy could be just that geeky and yet not to the point where he's hard to like but just not very good with women and he basically stops trying... it wasn't so far fetched to take you out of the movie and make you start rolling your eyes, and I think the believability of the plot is what makes the joke work so well... you don't mind laughing because the film makers aren't making you feel stupid for putting up with their story line... so often we get movies, especially comedies, where the plot is almost an after thought and they rely solely on sight gags and gross jokes to make the movie work and more often than not it doesn't. Kudo's to 40-Year-Old Virgin for giving me a solid story and characters I cared about and believed, while simultaneously allowing me to laugh so hard milk came out my nose and I had to pee.
