Manny & Lo
"Absolutely remarkable." - Roger Ebert, Siskel & Ebert
Manny (Scarlett Johansson, Lost in Translation, The Horse Whisperer) and Lo (Aleksa Palladino) are a two-person crime wave - on the lam and headed for trouble. Their next target: looney, frumpy spinster Mary Kay Place (Sweet Home Alabama, The Big Chill). It seems that the juvenile version of Thelma & Louise is in need of a full-time babysitter, and they're not above kidnapping one!
Critics have been captured and enraptured by Manny & Lo, calling it "the most original and unexpected family values film of the year" (Jay Carr, The Boston Globe). Step into the station wagon and join a couple of adorable parole violators and their kooky hostage for the wildest ride of the year.

Very good with unexpected twists - Fudgeflaps
I really enjoyed this movie, and after watching it for awhile it became obvious that there was more to this movie than was immediately apparent on the surface.
So as not to give too much away I won't mention more than that.
More movies should be made like this.
