My Brother's Keeper
My Brother's Keeper is a moving drama, based on a true story, about a family's struggle with HIV and a community that rallied around them with emotional and financial support when their struggle took them to the courts.
John Lithgow, in a role that got him nominated for an Emmy, plays twin brothers Bob and Tom Bradley, two well-loved Long Island school teachers. When Tom is diagnosed with HIV, doctors propose a radical bone marrow transplant from his brother to stop the progress of the disease. When Tom's insurance company backs out of paying for the treatment, Tom and Bob must stand together, along with their family members and supportive members of their community, to fight for Tom's life.
