Again, Jodie Foster is playing the hero mom trying to resue her daughter. That would be significant if she hadn't already been cast in that role in a few other movies. Storyline is good, acting is good but lacked a bit of originality to really make it great.Twists and Turns - askralph
I watched this on DVD a while ago and I can still remember this. It scares you as a mother or father.
Where is my child? What are you saying? She never came on the plane with me? This movie is excellent to watch if you are a fan of thrillers, spy films or extreme dramas.Mother as Hero! - ekatarina
I love the fact that this thriller featured an older, professional mother instead of the father-son rescue of the original premise (congrats to Brian Grazer for suggesting it). The acting is subtly superb and the directing and editing are faultless. Although the ending seemed far-fetched at times (how did they doctor the manifest?), I bought it because of the gradual build-up of the characterizations and the intensity of the situation. It was a well-paced, well-made testament to the tenacity of the maternal bond in the face of emotional turmoil and circumstantial skulduggery. In shotr, it kicked ass!
