Scar Tissue
Mora (Roberta Maxwell, Dead Man Walking, Full Disclosure), a once gifted visual artist who inexplicably gave up painting years before, is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Mora's husband Alex (Paul Hecht) and their two grown sons, Nick (Aidan Devine) and Daniel (Sean Doyle) struggle with fear, frustration and loss as Mora's condition rapidly deteriorates.
Stalled in his own filmmaking career, Daniel questions whether the disease has been passed on to him, and in turn, to his own son. Did his mother's fear of Alzheimer's cause her to abandon her art 20 years earlier? Has that same fear taken hold of Daniel, causing him to stop making films?
The agonizing strain of a mother afflicted with Alzheimer's weighs heavily on the family as they struggle to find the answers, and then deal with the sudden death of husband Alex. But it is a race against the clock, as the two sons feel their mother slippng through their fingers.
