Batman
Jack Nicholson is the Joker, who emerged from a horrible accident as a maniacal criminal. Michael Keaton is the Caped Crusader, who emerged from a childhood trauma to become a masked crimefighter. Kim Basinger is Vicki Vale, the talented photojournalist desired by both men. And Batman is the movie, the all-out spectacular directed by Tim Burton, set to songs by Prince and a music score by Danny Elfman, and an Academy Award winner for Best Art Direction/Set Decoration (Anton Furst and Peter Young).

It wasn't bad at all, but I gave a lower rating simply because this movie does not really stand the test of time. I'm sure it was great when it first got released but over time you start o see how cheesy it can be at moments. Entertainment has evolved and it requires movies to be more smarter and realistic, which is why Christopher Nolan's Batman has succeeded. Michael Keaton did a great job as Batman. Jack Nicholson did a great job the joker, making the character comic booky. The movie felt a little long. For sure worth checking out though.BATMAN - zippo
NOW I WILL START BY SAYING I HAVE SEEN EVERY BATMAN MOVIE DONE AND THIS MOVIE SET THE BAR HIGH AND IT TOOK CHRISTIAN BALE TO BEAT IT. MICHAEL KEATON DONES THE CAPE AND COWL AND BATTLES JACK NICHOLSON AS THE JOKER. JACKS PERFORMANCE WAS SO GREAT DANNY DEVITO AND OTHERS COULDN'T OUT DO HIS PERFORMANCE. HEATH LEDGER DID IT IN DARK KNIGHT. NOW BY SAYING THAT THIS CAST MADE A MOVIE THAT COULDN'T BE BEAT FOR OVER 17 YEARS. THIS STORY IS DARK AND SHOWS HOW BATMAN HAD TO WIN THE TRUST OF THE POLICE AND THE PEOPLE OF GOTHAM WHILE THE JOKER DID HIS BEST TO CONVINCE THE PEOPLE BATMAN WAS THE "BAD GUY". FOR SPECIAL FX FOR THE LATE 80'S IT WAS GREAT. SOLID STORY TELLING AND WE GOT TO SEE SOME GOOD ACTION SCENES. IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO WATCH THIS OVER BATMAN AND ROBIN PICK THIS MOVIE. TIM BURTON STARTED SOMETHING THAT BOUND TO BE GREAT, AND IT WENT DOWNHILL AFTER KEATON SAID NO MORE AFTER THE SECOND MOVIE.Best of the "90s" Batman movies - sinic
I am not a huge Tim Burton fan and I remember being a little disappointed when I heard that he was selected as the director of Batman when it was announced in the late 80s. My fears were completely squashed 5 minutes into the film when I realized that Burton's vision of the film was exactly what was required.
Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson took a good script and made it great. The acting, the action and the story are all fantastic. Batman Returns (also directed by Burton) carried on the same theme and the drop off in the quality of the series was huge when Burton didn't direct the following movies.
This version of Batman holds up extremely well. While it can be argued that the new Batman movies are better, I would say this Batman was better than Batman Begins. The movie is almost 20 years old now and really stands the test of time.
