Unrated - Sicker and More Twisted!
The story follows two American friends who go on a backpacking trip to Europe, hoping to meet chicks and score drugs. The two come across someone who tells them of a place in Slovakia where the girls there will have sex with any foreigners, so naturally they go, but not only do they hook up with girls, but they discover dark and sick happenings there, which eventually leads the duo to fend for their lives.

Underrated horror flick - demitri888
This has got to be one of my favourite horror flicks of the past 10 years. The actors in this movie play their roles very well, and believably. The dialogue, soundtrack and shock factor had me at the edge of my seat! This is probably Eli Roth's best film to date. All Hype, No Go - chrisheff
All hype and no go. That about sums this movie up. The idea has potential for a great horror flick, but it simply doesn't come close to delivering. The first hour of this movie is a complete waste of time. They could have created the build-up for the story in 15-20 minutes, but instead they take 60, leaving only the final half-hour for any real movie. The first hour is simply an excuse to have numerous good-looking young women get naked. We also meet our incredibly annoying main characters. Seriously, are we supposed to care for these guys?
The final half-hour does tell a bit of story and gives us a bit of a scary escape and some chills but it doesn't come close to making up for the first hour.
There was huge hype for this movie, but the movie was no more graphic or gruesome than any other horror/slasher movie out there. Rent the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre instead of this if you have the option. The rebirth of 70s horror - Heist
The american horror genre pretty much died during the 80s (with a few exceptions). Then, in the mid-90s, Scream created the slasher revival and in 1999, The Sixth Sense made twist endings the next big thing since genuinely good endings. In 2002, Eli Roth's first "real" offering brought us back to the 70s, back when the movies didn't have implausible twists and didn't follow the exact same formula all the time. Or maybe they did, but all we can remember from that period are the Evil Deads, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the Aliens (it's not sci-fi action, dammit).
I'm losing focus here, but what I really want to see is that, if you liked Cabin Fever and hell, even if you didn't, but are a die-hard, or just plain regular horror fan or even if you only like good movies but are not weak-stomached, then please, check this out. I know some people will get turned off by the 45 minutes of sex, boobies and drugs in the first part, but to me, they're an integral part of what the director/writer is trying to do and it sets up perfectly for the last 50 minutes.
The score and photography are both excellent and the dialogue is smart (most of the time) while remaining true to what such characters would say.
Did I also mention it had lots and lots of hot european women?
