One of the most likable stars ever to grace large or small screens, Ritter is hilarious and touching as a workaday guy who discovers righting wrongs is a whole lot of fun. So much that corrupt politicians want to cut in on the action and use Steve's fame to their own advantage. Will Steve cave to their scheme? This is a job for a superhero who knows right from wrong!

One of the first superhero movies - MatthewE
I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I was never a big fan of John Ritter, and I figured that the whole thing would be an exercise in silliness. It's not, though; it takes itself seriously in its 1970s way, and presents a good argument for just why superheroes, and superhero movies, are worthwhile. I don't want to say it's a masterpiece or anything, but it's certainly not a waste of time for superhero fans.
