Brace for excitement as Val Kilmer (Batman), Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face), Jim Carrey (The Riddler), Nicole Kidman (Dr. Chase Meridian) and Chris O'Donnell (Robin) star in the third spectacular film in Warner Bros.' Batman Forever is a fantastic installation into the Batman series. I would highly recommend it! It's got action, romance, drama, comedy, and great sets! Among a fantastic soundtrack featuring U2 and Seal's famous "Kiss from a Rose". It's a good movie and should be seen by every Batman fan!the last watchable one in the set of four - outlander78
Michael Keaton was the best actor to portray Bruce Wayne, and Val Kilmer does not live up to his standard. However, he makes a good Batman, and does better than this movie deserved. The same goes for all the lead actors - they all seem to have made the best of a bad script. The director, on the other hand - neon guns?
All in all, this movie is a decent way to pass an evening, but the extras make it worth renting - the extras for this set of four movies are the best I have seen outside of a Lord of the Rings boxset or Criterion release.watchable but skippable - clauditorium
Batman must confront foes Two-Face and The Riddler in this sequel, which was meant to revive the franchise after the dreary, unpopular Batman Returns. So the visuals are candy-coloured (though the film is artlessly photographed), and the tone mostly upbeat. Batman Forever actually does a better job of managing its many characters than its predecessor did, but the stupid, stupid dialogue and undistinguished action scenes are too steep a price to pay for a more coherent structure.
Val Kilmer barely registers in the title role. Tommy Lee Jones is given nothing to do as Two-Face and ends up as merely a dull rerun of Jack Nicholson's Joker. But Jim Carrey, who was born to play a comic book villain, plays the demented Riddler with convinction.
