Just Friends
He loves her. She loves him not.
In high school, Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds) was a shy, overweight teen with a crush on the beautiful Jamie Palamino (Amy Smart). Unfortunately, Jamie thought of the good-natured Chris as "just a friend." Fast forward ten years, Chris is a suave, fit and successful music executive visiting home and looking for a little payback. Love has other plans for him, as he attempts to woo Jamie, all the while trying to distract the ditzy, pop-diva client (Anna Faris) he has in tow and a rival suitor (Chris Klein). Soon enough, Chris finds that romancing Jamie has not gotten any easier in his outrageous comedy of errors!

I was going through and just gave a good review to the newer Anna Faris movie, 'What's your number', and I was reminded of this movie. I simply do love this movie.
I'm a big Ryan Reynolds, Love Amy Smart, and have been a fan of both Anna Faris and Chris Klein, so this movie had it going on as far as the casting. I'm also a big fan of the plotline, as everyone knew someone in the friend zone, and not enough movies focus in on this side of things.
Having Reynolds character become this super suave bachelor now that he's lost all this weight, but yet he reverts back to his old ways when facing his old crush is genius. Lots of lol's when watching this movie.
I recommend this movie if you are in the mood to laugh.Hillarious - olliekahn
I didn't know what to expect of this film as it wasn't exactly widely released originally. But upon watching it, its actually hilarious. The humor various throughout but mostly relies and slapstick one liners, but the side story itself is actually pretty decent, ultimately making Just Friends a romantic comedy. Well as I am not usually a fan of the genre I have to say Just Friends pushed the boundaries on the cliche of the genre, and was rather refreshing and definitely worth a watch for anyone in the mood for a good laugh.Fun! - RubyT
I hadn't watched a movie like this in a while. It had many laugh out loud scenes (from the very beginning!) and it was a light comedy/love story. I hadn't heard of the actors before either, Ryan Reynolds wasn't familiar, but he was so great in it that I'm going to keep an eye out for more of his films.
The ending was predictable, but overall I really enjoyed and give this 5 stars!
