Bloodsuckers (aka Doctors Wear Scarlet, Freedom Seekers, Incense of the Damned) is an original take on the vampire myth: it proposes that vampirism is a psychological sickness linked to sexual repression rather than anything supernatural. Shot on location in Greece and England and starring horror film luminaries like Peter Cushing (Hammer's Dracula, etc.) and Edward Woodward (The Wicker Man), it centers on a young student who has disappeared in Greece. When his friends search for him they notice that wherever he has been a number of murders have taken place. They find their friend under the spell of a beautiful vampire, whose blood-sucking methods include the use of S&M sex. Believing that they have killed her, the group return to England, unaware that their friend is now a vampire...

woefully lacking in blood - Grossed
Very lame, dated film. Badly edited and terribly scored. Be not misled by the casting (Patrick Macnee, Edward Woodward, Peter Cushing), all big names are given minor roles. This is in no way a vampire movie; no fangs, no undead in coffins, no melting monsters ...
