Stuart Conway (Sean Astin) is an ordinary scientist with an extraordinary invention called the Slipstream Device - a time-travel mechanism that transports ten minutes into the past with the push of a button. During a test run, Conway inadvertently intercepts a dangerous bank heist. Suddenly he has ten minutes to alter the outcome and save lives - including his own.

What I can't fathom is the vitriol the thing has evidently aroused in so many reviewers. Whereas I found it all a perfectly charming little diversion with an all's well that ends well dénouement. Very nice low budget film. Who was this “big star“, I don’t know, but he captures the dorkiness of an inoffensive but terribly annoying person without actually being too annoying. Our leading lady is very hot, the film has a nice clean look and is tight and suspenseful. The big downer is the villain and his lady friend, are they local South African rock musicians or something? Movie would have been cooler set in South Africa where it was obviously shot rather then shifted to Denver or wherever it was set in the USA. Anyway, good stuff for cheap sci-fi and the lot was interesting and without any super annoying lapses in logic which is hard to do with time travel.crap - rosco777
It was all crap, the acting, the story and the special effects, it all sucked. I wish I could use the slipstream and go back in time 89min and not watch this festering pile of CRAP!!!!!!! The only redeeming part is when the stupid bus driver runs outside and then blows up and you can see his head fly across the screen.
