Dutch Girls
From the Producer of Pride and Prejudice
A raucous yet touching comedy about the antics of a group of 18-year-old prep school boys on a hockey trip to Amsterdam.
Competition among the boys is keen to be chosen for the Strathdonald school hockey squad. Coach Mole is gratified at the sudden interest so many boys are showing in the team. He envisions resounding success on the hockey field with time to spare in the art galleries and museums of the colorful city. But as they hit town, sports and culture are the last things on these lads' minds. Colin Firth stars as Neil Truelove, a particularly shy and sensitive young player who's determined to have a fling with a Dutch girl.

Dutch Girls starts off promising but slow, the only reason I rented the Acorn BBC production was for Colin Firth And Timothy Spall.
The young and crocked teethed Firth stars as the timid virgin mainrole who falls in love while on a school trip to Armsterdam. With the quick roll of a luck and misfortunes along the beated path hormonal teenaged boys attempt to loose their innocence countless times without success. The funny and sometimes gross comedy is kept alive by Spall's free-loving character Linden.A very young Colin Firth - OlBaldy
The only thing interesting about this movie was seeing a very young Colin Firth, in this movie a day after watching Colin in The Kings Speech.
The movie is quite bland, really. It talks about the antics of the boys from a boy`s school and how they go wild on the trip to Amsterdam, but it seems that British boys are very tame indeed, if they are like the boys in this movie.
