The Dark Hours
She spent years getting into the mind of a monster... Now He's getting into hers.
Dr. Samantha Goodman (Kate Greenhouse), an attractive psychiatrist in her 30s, joins her husband and sister for a weekend at a winter cottage when an unexpected guest arrives. Harlan Pyne (Aidan Devine), a violent sexual offender, is convinced that Samantha conducted unethical experiments on him while she was his doctor. With the assistance of his troubled yet eager protégé, Harlan forces Samantha and her family to participate in a series of nightmarish games--games tinged with psychological and physical torture that are designed to both deliver the truth and reap vengeance. On this night of terror, escape is not an option, truth guarantees nothing, and revenge will not - necessarily - be sweet.

This movie was great. It really keeps you guessing. The ending leaves you a little confused. Was she dreaming the whole thing or were some parts true. It never showed her sleeping, so I can't figure out how she could have dreamed it all. She had a brain tumor and this contributed to her thoughts. Did she see things that were not there? Watch it to see for yourself.Captivating movie that leaves you guessing - iamthez
This movie absolutely surpassed my expectations. After reading the reviews, I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but once I started, I couldn't stop. This is a movie that definitely requires a second watch in order to catch everything.
The acting was top-notch, and the characterization was spot-on. As someone who studied psychology, I found their concepts and the execution to be fantastic, and I really commend the lead actress for what she did.
As stated in other reviews, there are so many layers to this movie, it's almost impossible to describe what has happened. If you watch the alternate ending, it adds even more quesitons to what is happening.
The Dark Hours satisfied everything for me, and left me guessing to the last second.High tension Canadian horror - the best - WilckensSiordia
I was blown away when I saw this one. One of the most gripping films I've ever seen. You will be glued to the screen throughout because there's never a dull moment. Total horror. Why this film wasn't nominated for any Genie Awards I will never know. Note to director, Paul Fox: we need another horror film from you! I know Little Mosque on the Prairie episodes don't direct themselves, but please!
