Black Christmas
If this film doesn't make your skin crawl, it's on too tight!
The college town of Bedford is receiving an unwelcome guest this Christmas. As the residents of sorority house Pi Kappa Sig prepare for the festive season, a demonic stranger begins to stalk the house. A series of grisly obscene phone-calls start to plague the residents of the sorority and soon they will each meet their fate at the hands of the psychotic intruder. As the Police try to trace the phone calls, they discover that nothing is as it seems during this Black Christmas.
Starring Olivia Hossey, Keir Dullea, Margot Kidder, Andrea Martin and John Saxon. Bob Clark's Black Christmas predates Halloween by 4 years and is now widely acknowledged as the inventor of the modern slasher film.

good and exciting all throughout...until the typical ending :( - YPlovesmovies
I really do love the suspense and horror genre, and the old horror flicks from 1970 and 80s are defintiely unique and better than most of the current (cheap) stuff. What i DONT like and dont understand is the cheap typical way of ending every single horror movie - so the killer gets caught or ends up dying, or so we THINK he's a killer, until the very last minute we realize "oh no, he wasnt the killer all along" so what now??? so frustrating..Billy is a nutball! - CaptainRhodes
Why on earth would someone sit through the stale remake when thankfully, we still have the this original floating around out there? People amaze me. This classic has been with me for years and it still holds a dear place in my heart. It holds up after all these years. Timeless indeed. Compelling, unsettling and creepy would best describe it. Olivia Hussey adds a fine charm to it as well. She's quite a looker. So really, without a single spoiler, this movie contains all one needs when seeking out a true, classic horror flick. Wait not a second longer.............Saw It In November 1973. - godhed
I was only 18 and my family and I were moving so a friend took me to see this as a going away present. Until the movie ended I don't think I blinked once. Never forgot it and now it's a Christmas favorite along with Scrooge, Rudolph, Charlie Brown and the Grinch!
