Niagara Motel
Pack your bags.
The guests of this low-rent motel in the tourist Mecca of Niagara Falls are not your typical tourists. A waitress being recruited to star in low budget porn, a young couple with criminal pasts struggling to recover their child, and a middle class husband with a rapidly disintegrating marriage. Throw into the mix a woeful drunken motel manager, a prostitute, a small time hustler, an underachieving staple salesman, the owner of the motel, his physics studying daughter, and a social worker with a Christian bias. Watch as tragedy waltzes with unpredictable comedy in an intense dance of life.

This movie stars Kevin Pollack and Craig Ferguson. Both are great in this movie. Ferguson plays a drunk maintenance man. Pollack, a wannabe pimp. The entire movie centers around the pathetic group of guests at a motel in Niagara Falls (Canada). Being from the area, I recognized many of the places that this movie takes place in. All of the guests are pathetic (and endearing) in their own ways. One couple is traveling across Canada looking for work. Another is trying to get their baby back after losing her due to unemployment and drug use. One woman is a prostitute. Another is trying to decide if she should keep her unborn child. The characters are what makes that movie worth seeing.good film - billie
This was lots of fun, and really very engrossing. The motel in mention is wonderfully sleazy, and the stories are very entertaining. All the actors are good, and the direction is fine. All in all, a good effort: I wonder why I've never heard of it before? It seems like it should be more popular than it apparently is.
