I am somewhat embarrassed because I really found the movie boring. I love Pink Floyd, I just think that you don't get the full effect of the concert unless you are there. I prefer a more documentary style, with concert footage and some background interviews. I watch to hear the music, but also to find out something new about the people in the band.Great Concert - MovieWatch
Having attented this concert live I can for certain say that this DVD is as close as you can get without having to leave your house. Plus The fact that you get both DVDs for the price of one rental is great ( they should all be like that ).
Shine on crazy diamond....The Concert Video that Goes to ELEVEN - GeeFloyd
I wouldn't bother renting Pulse - go out and buy it because you'll be watching it over and over for years to come! Featuring three quarters of The Pink Floyd (the moody and litigious Roger Waters is a no show and not really missed at all), David Gilmour and the crew are in top form, showcasing the exquisitely sublime visual and aural splendor that is The Pink Floyd Experience. The concert is a multimedia extravaganza possessing a surreal theatricality that seems to suffuse your entire conscience. The timeless music is practically perfect and richly layered. The film and video media fully complement the music. The lighting is absolutely fantastic, especially the projection screen with the circle of multi-colored lights. If you've seen a Floyd concert this is a must see as the stage is more enhanced and extra lighting was brought in especially for this video. You don't have to be a fan of Pink Floyd to enjoy these two disks, but I can't see how you couldn't become one after watching it. I only have one minor quibble - it was videotaped in 4x3 full screen videotape instead of anamorphic film; and sadly, high definition wasn't an option in 1994.
