The Gambler
On a warm summer evening, on a train, bound for nowhere...
A big poker game was starting in San Francisco, but the Gambler's number one priority was taking care of his young son. Country music star Kenny Rogers stars as Brady Hawkes, a high-rolling frontier gambler who has been summoned to Yuma to rescue the son he never knew. Along the way Brady befriends Billy Montana (Bruce Boxleitner), a young Easterner who fancies himself a professional poker player. Brady teaches Billy a few card and life lessons during their journey, and they end up forming strong team. Onboard a train to Yuma, the duo comes to the aid of Jennie Reed (Lee Purcell), a reformed prostitute who is being pursued by the unprincipled railroad baron Arthur Stobridge (Harold Gould). While trying to reach their individual goals, Brady and Billy find themselves dealing in high stakes poker with Stobridge and slugging it out with tough outlaws in a barroom standoff.

I was left very neutral after watching this film. I love Kenny Rogers as a singer and he doesn't disppoint me in the film.It is not a film however that I would love to see over and over again. I am very glad I watched the film , but certainly not overjoyed.
