Pretty Good - keeblercat
I'm a fan of the Jean Christophe Grange books. I have not read this book yet but this movie follows pretty much his writing style. I would be suprised if it were as good as the book (movies rarely are) but all in all a pretty good movie. Good soundtrack as well.Somewhat Satisfying French Thriller - DoubleDownAgain
A somewhat contrived thriller. It is a French language movie so you either have to read subtitles or listed to a dubbed English track. I have read the reviews at IMDB and was surprised to see it being raked over the coals. It is not a perfect movie by any means but I liked the look and feel of the film. I also enjoyed Jean Reno's performance as well as Arly Jover's.The ending is a bit hard to take, supposedly it mirror's the book's ending but doesn't do a good enough job filling in the holes. I give it a lukewarm recommendation.Good Movie - moviewatcher
If you enjoyed Crimson Rivers then you’ll also enjoy this movie. I find that the movies from France are really slick and a visual treat to watch. Jean Reno is one of those actors who’s always a thrill to watch in any movie. You won’t be disappointed watching this movie so grab a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy.
